Is there a limit to the number of Messages I can send?

Overview:

As with (almost) everything in Text Groove’s platform, we offer unlimited incoming and outgoing messages when sending 1:1; this includes regular messages (SMS), images, gifs, and audio messages (MMS), as well as autoreplies. Please note; 1:1 and autoreplies can have soft limits, only if contractually bound, otherwise they are unlimited.


SMS:

SMS messages are limited to 160 characters (if using an emoji in a text message, you are limited to 70 characters). If you go over the 160 character limit, the text message will send as two text messages. Keep this in mind when drafting your automatic replies, and bounce backs. There are some sections of Text Groove that will hard limit you to 160 characters, like Keyword Contest Autoreplies and Text Club messages.


Text Clubs:

Text Clubs are the one area of Text Groove that you are limited by both the character count, and number of messages you can send. This is due to the fact that Text Clubs are considered Mass Marketing Text Messages, and fall under a different category of messaging service by the FCC.


The number of Text Clubs you can have is unlimited, and the number of members capable of joining one of your Text Clubs is also unlimited.


However, Text Club Message length is limited to 160 characters per message send, and max number of message sends from the Text Club App is contractually bound, but typically 10000 messages per month will be included in your contract. Please contact Customer Support if you are unsure as to how many messages are included in your Text Club Contract.
